Premiership Predictions

As the Premiership starts today, here are my finishing positions for every team.

Norwich – 20th: Simply put Norwich are not good enough for this league. They are the biggest YoYo team ever. Only two signing they have made have previous premiership experience.

Watford – 19th: Again another newly promoted team are tipped to go back down. They have strengthen will a mix of young and experienced players but don’t have the quality to stay in the league.

Southampton – 18th: The biggest sinking ship at the moment, the lose of Ings and Vestergaard will be a massive and they haven’t replaced them with proven premiership talent.

Brentford – 17th: Brentford play a style of football which will either put them in the top half or end in tears. The only reason I have put them 17th is due to the philosophy they have and star man Ivan Toney.

Newcastle – 16th: Newcastle have talent up front but nothing at the back they only had 7 clean sheet last season which was ranked 18th in the league. The signing of Joe Willock will help improve the midfield but he has been the only signing they have made so far and fans could be in for a disappointing season.

Burnley – 15th: If Burnley do not score goals they will be in trouble, they scored 33 goals last season and are yet to address their striker issues. If they do not get another striker in they will be in for a long season near the bottom of the league.

Brighton – 14th: The loss of Ben White will have a impact but again Brighton have an issue scoring goals. They only scored 40 goals last season which is 11.6 goals below their XG. A striker or creative midfielder will go a long way to help with this.

Crystal Palace – 13th: New team with a New manager, Palace have made really good signings so far this year. They have strengthen in key positions and have put players around Zaha and are ready to succeed.

Wolves – 12th: Another team with a new manager looking to return to Europe like they did in 19/20. They have paid a few good signings this window and also will be boosted by the return of Jimenez who will be looking to get himself back in the goals.

West Ham – 11th: They have no strengthen enough to be fight in the league and Europe. The lack of signings will hurt massively considering the injuries that West Ham seem to get every season.

Everton – 10th: Another season of mid table for Everton, the 3 signings they have made add depth to the squad but do not add quality to the team. The loss of Carlo Ancelotti will hurt this team more than people expect.

Tottenham- 9th: Before the Spurs fan come at me with pitchforks I am basing this off of Harry Kane leaving for Manchester City. If Spurs were serious about trying to get top 4 and keeping Kane they would of gone out and making signings to keep him happy, as they haven’t done this I see him leaving and Spurs becoming Spurs once again.

Leeds – 8th: This is a team that believe attack is the best form of defence. Leeds are a breath of fresh air in the premiership and they have made signings ready to go one place higher than they did last season.

Aston Villa – 7th: I just have a good feeling about Villa this season even after losing Jack Grealish. They have made quality signings and brought in players with premiership and International experience. Dean Smith and this Villa team will shock many people this season.

Arsenal – 6th: No European football will help Arsenal massively this season and they have made good signings so far which improve the squad. I think players like Saka and Pepe will take that leap this season and will improve to help push arsenal up the table.

Leicester- 5th: Since Leicester have won the league they always feel like the bridesmaid and never the bride. They have finished 5th for the last two seasons and I see that continuing this year. The signing of Daka and the returning Barnes will help close that gap to the top 4.

Liverpool – 4th: A couple of question marks for Liverpool this season, will Virgil Van Dijk be the same player after his injury and how will they cope with the lose of Wijnaldum. Liverpool will hope they don’t get an injury bug like they did last year which could cause the wheels to come off the Klopp Bus. Another point is Liverpool are likely to lose Salah and Mane to the AFCON midway through the season.

Man Utd – 3rd: They have improved this transfer window with the signings they have made, but still have the questions around the midfield and which Pogba will turn up. If the other teams I have above them didn’t make the signings they have I would of tipped Man Utd to win the league.

Man City – 2nd: Yes they signed Grealish for £100 million but they still do not have a striker after losing Aguero. Yes I do think they will sign Kane but I don’t think they will have the same success in the league and both players will need time to fit into the system City play, Pep does also love to rotate his squad so will both players play as much as they think???

Chelsea – 1st: I don’t think Chelsea have put a foot wrong since sacking Big Fat Frank. I think this team will be scary and could walk the league if all the player get together. The signing of Big Rom will help massively and take the pressure of Werner, which in turn will improve his performance. I predict Chelsea will win the league by at least 9 points.
