Guess what’s back the Premiership is back. Well that international break felt like it went on forever, thank god Premiership is back now. Let’s jump right into the action.
The 12pm KO is a clash between Newcastle and Chelsea at St James Park. Newcastle are coming into this game on the back of a 2-0 away at Southampton. Star striker Callum Wilson is 50/50 doubt for the game with a hamstring injury and Ryan Fraser will miss the game. Newcastle won the last game at St James Park 1-0 with Issac Hayden scoring in the 94th minute to take all 3 points.
Chelsea are currently 5th in the table and come into the game after winning 4-1 at home to Sheffield United. They will be without Thiago Silva and Christian Pulisic for the trip up north. They will be hoping free scoring Timo Werner will be able to keep his run of form up, he has scored 10 goals in 10 goals in all competitions.
The only 3pm KO is at Villa Park as Aston Villa take on Brighton. Villa destroyed Arsenal before the international break and will be hoping this form continues and have no new injury concerns ahead of the game. Ollie Watkins will be looking to add to his 6 goals this season against a Brighton team that concede 1.8 goals a goal.
Brighton are 16th in the table and have no wins in their last 6 games. Lewis Dunk will return after suspension but will be without the injured Alexis MacAllister. Brighton have lost all 5 game when they have played at Villa Park.
The biggest game of the weekend is the 5:30 KO between Spurs and Man City. Spurs we poor away at West Brom in the last game but still came away with the win and have won the last 3 games straight. They will be without Matt Doherty due to Rona but will be boosted with the return of Steven Bergwijn who scored in the win last season.
City will be without Nathan Ake and Fernandinho for the trip to London, they are currently 10th in the table and have looked poor in games this season. This game will be the 24th between Pep and Jose, Pep has defeat his rival 10 times and that is the most defeat Jose has against one single manager.
The final game on Saturday is the 8pm KO at Old Trafford between Man Utd and West Brom. United have been hit and miss this season but will come into this game on the back of a win away at Everton. They will be without Luke Shaw but Alex Telles with return after beating Rona. United will be looking for their first home win of the season in this game.
West Brom were very good in spells against Spurs in the last game and will be looking to afford defeat at Old Trafford for the 3rd game in a row. They have no new injury concerns as they chase their first win of the season. Both teams have a very poor defensive record with only two clean sheets between the team this season. I would expect goals in this game.
