We are 5 games into the premier league season with Everton sitting top on 13 points, but how high can they finish?

First we have to look at the squad, what jumps out first is Jordan Pickford the guy has hands weaker than a poppadom. He will 100% cost Everton more points than he will earn them with his saves, Everton did add Robin Olsen at the transfer deadline. The next thing to consider is if players get injured do they have quality on the bench to replace them, simple answer is no. If they lose Calvert- Lewin, James Rodrigues or Richarlison for a prolonged period of time they hopes of a miracle title win will go up in a puff of smoke.

Everton will need to strength in January, realistically they will need a back up striker of decent quality and also a decent LB to cover Lucas Digne. Two players I would target are Mariano Diaz from Real Madrid, he is yet to play this season and has only played 18 games since returning in 2018. For a LB I would look at young Dutch player Owen Wijndal for AZ, he recently made his debut with the Dutch national team and will be one for the future.

Realistically I think Everton will finish 7/8th and crumble towards February which will ruin their season.
